Ce deuxième volet de The Black Mysteries est encore plus symphonique : cuivres viennent se greffer aux chœurs et à l'orgue et, comme dans les albums de Les Chants du Hasard, le black metal existe mais en esprit seulement. Le sublime par des moyens détournés !

Connaissant Hagetisse, on pourrait s'attendre à ce que cet album mette en lumière les vices de l'humanité et c'est le cas. En tout cas, partiellement : plus lent, il mène à une forme de contemplation. Un black metal expérimental clair-obscur.
